Prayer

* Denotes a “new” prayer request in the last 2 weeks

“The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”

James 5:16b (ESV)

We understand the importance of prayer in our daily lives.  Prayer is NOT a means to an end, it IS the end.  Prayer is a privilege and a command.  By it and  through it, we become more in tuned to God’s will for our lives.  It draws us closer to Him and makes us more like Him.   God  knows our needs and wants before we even ask for them, and His holy desire for His glory and our good dictates the way we ought to view how we pray and how we respond to His answers to our prayers.

Not presuming that we know the mind of God, we desire that all prayers on our behalf be done with God’s will in mind.  With that, we offer the following requests to you to intercede for on our behalf before the throne of God.  Thank you!

Ongoing requests:

—Wisdom and discernment as we live and work among people of another culture

—Wisdom, discernment, patience and love as we work with other missionary staff and Bahamian staff at the Adventure Learning Centre and Camp

—That our children put God first in everything, do only that which brings glory to God, make wise decisions, and respond correctly to God’s loving correction when they do wrong.

—Safety for us, our family and the ministry (especially as crime is on the rise here in the Bahamas)

—Financial support

—Supply needs of the Adventure Learning Centre and Camp: financial as well as spiritual growth
